The summer has slipped by. I'm going back to June to write about a few things we did that month. We've had a great summer...our last summer at BYU. Kinda sad, but happy too! These next 3 pictures are of Bailey and her best friend Abbigail. Wymount (student family housing, where we live) had a fun activity every week for the kids this summer. This day was a big water fight and playing in the sprinklers. I love how girly the girls look in some of the pictures.

Fishing Trip With Daddy
We went to Spanish Oaks Resevoir, in Spanish Fork, for a fun fishing trip with our family and friends. Bailey loves fishing, especially when she gets to pet them. Her little friend G2 was there to splash around with and to admire all the fish! We had a fun day together...

TJ's Blessing
We blessed TJ on Mother's Day! He was blessed in our "home" (mesa) ward. Same ward that daddy and Bailey were blessed in! It was wonderful to be able to be surrounded by family! Tim gave him a very sweet blessing. TJ's full name is Timothy Paul Johnson Jr. "TJ" is for Timmy Jr. He's 4months in these pictures!!!!

Tales of Bailey
So it's been a "fun" week with Bailey so far and its only Wednesday! Monday was a busy day. My mom had been here the previous week so I was doing laundry and putting my house back together. Bailey got grumpy around 3pm. I tried and tried to put her down for a nap but no luck. That night she decides to go to sleep at 6:45-way too early for bedtime and way to late for naptime. I try and try to wake her up but I can't so I just put her to bed and say to myself "when she wakes up later I'll just leave her in her room and tell her to go back to bed." Tim comes home and around 9:30 we hear Bailey. We ignore her for a little bit, then she does her usual cry, then talk, cry, then say she wants to use the potty, cry, then say she went poo-poo and so on. Eventually Tim says he'll go in and lay down with her. He goes in and than calls for me. This time Bailey told us the truth when she said she went poo-poo. We turn on the light and there is a tiny bit on the floor and we ask Bailey where her diaper is. She shows us and then we ask her why she took her diaper off. She says, "b/c I wanted to see the poo-poo." I'm thinking why does it stink SO bad and there is only a tiny bit on the floor. We check all around the room but can't find anymore. Finally we discover it! Its HUGE and it got dragged across the carpet when daddy opened the door. YUCK YUCK YUCK. Now we have this "rainbow poo-poo" mess to clean up...so much fun! (We didn't notice it at first because our carpet is so dark)
The next fun Bailey thing that happened was last night. Around 3:40am Bailey woke up crying a bit and was scared/sad and asked to come sleep in our bed. She fell asleep and about 5-10 mins later she let out this blood-curdling scream. It was so loud and it totally freaked me and Tim out! We immediately tried to calm her down, but she was just shaking and terrified. When we tried to put an arm around her she would scream and move away from it, whipping her head around to see what was trying to touch her. Her head was on a swivel. Apparently she thought there were a bunch of "bugs" trying to get her. Finally she crawled up on top of daddy's head leaning her back against the wall so no part of her had to touch the bed. We finally got her to calm down, and explained that no bugs could get her because they couldn't get inside the house, and bedsides that daddy wouldn't let them. She eventually calmed down, pulled Tim's arm over her and snuggled into him to fall asleep. But she didn't fall asleep. I put on the little mermaid for her and we went back to sleep around 6am. I looked up "night terror" on the internet and it describes what happened to her. I hope she has no more night terrors, they are terrifying for everyone!

And lastly, well this event actually happened first, Bailey lost a fingernal. Bailey was walking Toby, my mom's dog, and he went off the sidewalk down to the street. I guess Bailey did not notice the drop because she fell pretty hard and I think Toby might have dragged her just a little (he's not a big dog, but he could probably pull her a bit). The leash (a hard plastic handle) must have hit her finger on the street just right because there was no nail left on her little finger. It was pretty sad seeing her in pain! I tried to clean it the best I could and she was very brave. My mom, being the wonderful grandma and nurse she is, came over and helped me with the wound. She was very comforting to Bailey, talking about how Bailey could feeling her "heartbeat" in her finger(she would say "ow, ow, ow" every minute or two when it would throb). Finally the initial pain subsided after I gave her some ibuprofen and sprayed some numbing stuff on it. We had to be pretty careful with it the first few days but now we don't have to put a bandage on it and I think its healing pretty well.

March
March was a whirlwind of events and it went by way too fast! Tim's parents came to visit for about a week and we had a great time having them here in Utah! TJ turned 2 Months and is such a big boy now. He was 12lbs 5oz (bailey was 9lbs at 2mos). I love this little guy so much! He is so much more interactive now and loves to smile and laugh with us.
